Cora Barker’s work explores the notion of identity and the representation of various stereotypes within society. She creates various portraits to represent the changing of identity and the fluidity of it.
Barker explores the way people represent themselves within society,
and experiments with the idea of the differences between posing and acting and how the two can be linked and yet also juxtaposed within photography.
Her photography shows the differences in common stereotypes and the perceptions we can make based purely on the appearance of certain people or characters.
